Cross Functional Team

A team consisting of representatives from the various functions involved in product development, usually including members from all key functions required to deliver a successful product, typically including marketing, engineering, manufacturing/operations, finance, purchasing, customer support, and quality. The team is empowered by the departments to represent each function’s perspective in the development process.     Cross-functional team: A team that consists of members from different departments or functions within an organization. Cross-functional teams are often used to develop new products or services, or to solve complex problems.
